Looking for IT Awards? Tech Awards?
Emma Turnbull
Managing Consultant, Boost
But which are the best IT awards and tech awards to enter?
With the number of IT awards and technology awards increasing all the time, it can be difficult choosing the right IT awards for your company, innovation or product. Do you choose a general, credible IT Awards scheme, or something more specific like search awards or software awards? Boost’s award entry expert Emma Turnbull helps guide you through the tech awards and global technology awards available to find the international recognition you deserve.
Why enter technology awards?
According to research by Boost, about 72% of buyers are influenced by tech awards when buying IT services or products. Is it any wonder that the IT industry is so keen to win credible awards? In a competitive global market that’s constantly innovating, a prestigious global IT industry award could make all the difference.
There are technology awards that celebrate the truly international, ever-changing nature of IT on all levels, so I thought it wise to highlight some of the key global tech awards schemes for you to consider.
Whether you are a start-up or an established Silicon Valley global player, big or small, no matter the scale of the product or innovation, there is an awards program to celebrate it.
In this guide, I will look at some of the top general IT Awards for companies, products and services, before then looking at awards for individuals, such as the Women in IT Awards. I will highlight the search awards that are becoming more competitive than ever, as companies fight for awards for SEO, PPC and software innovation awards. Finally, I run through some more general business award schemes that have relevant IT and tech categories to consider.
As the sector is so diverse, I’ll come back to look at the more specialized technology industry awards (Cloud Awards, App Awards, Cyber Security Awards etc.) in future articles. Please note that some of the technology award schemes below do have specialized categories for mobile tech, programmatic, etc. so there could still be something relevant for you here.

Now in their 13th year, these have spent most of their life known as The European IT & Software Excellence Awards, but underwent a rebrand in 2022. In our experience, these have been very popular and competitive in the past. Entries are almost entirely based on one case study, even if the category indicates something more general, for example, ‘Cloud Solution Provider of the Year’. There are 26 categories in all, which breaks down as seven solution categories, nine supplier categories, three app developer and ISVs and 3 for culture and sustainability.
